I'm streaming to Twitch in 1080p @ 30fps. I was originally doing 60fps but somebody told me that there 'was no point' so I changed everything to 30.
However, I'm not clear on all of the encoding settings etc. that I should be using. I've got an NVIDIA card in there available for helping and try to use the NVENC option wherever I can, but I really don't know what half of these settings are.
On the audio side, since we're doing DJing/music, I want things to sound as good as practical, but am unsure of what to set things to. I know that our in-studio audio stream is 48k so I'd love to encode & stream as much of that as practical.
I've used Twitch Inspector while streaming and am confused at how sometimes it reports problems, other times doesn't, and I can't seem to understand how the bitrate reported there seems to relate to my OBS settings (I suspect I'm not factoring in audio and what it adds to the traffic).
I've googled "ideal OBS settings" and similar things before and am a bit disheartened at the contradictory advice, and even sometimes the comments on these Reddit posts etc. devolve into "experts" just arguing with one another, which doesn't make me feel confident.
Basically, I am really out of my depth with what to set all of these OBS settings to in order to get the best experience possible for my viewers. Any help at all is appreciated.
